We’re excited to welcome NW United to The Nest in what promises to be a massive encounter for both sides. With three crucial points up for grabs, there’s no doubt this will be another fierce battle, especially considering how closely matched our teams were last season.
Unfortunately, our fixture last weekend was called off due to poor weather conditions, so the girls are buzzing to get back on the pitch and make up for lost time. The team has been working hard to iron out a few issues from our last outing against Tech, and there's a real sense of focus and determination in the group.
It’s been a tough few weeks navigating injuries and absences due to Uni holidays and the Easter & Anzac holidays. That said, we're finally starting to turn a corner. With only a few players still sidelined and a few others managing minor niggles, we’re in a stronger position heading into today’s game than we have in the previous couple. That’s brought a real edge to our training sessions – the competition for spots has lifted everyone’s performance.
We’re expecting a tough match against a strong NW United outfit, but with the energy and momentum we’ve been building, we’re confident in our approach.
We’d love to see plenty of support on the sidelines – and don’t forget to join us in the clubrooms after the match for a drink and a chat. Let’s make it a great day for the club!
Up the Hawks!
