What a way to close out our final home match of the season at Halswell Domain! A fantastic crowd turned up, as they have all season, and we couldn’t have asked for a better send-off. From the bright sunshine in the first half to the icy winds in the second, the match had a bit of everything.
But we know this is only half-time in the series. We’ve put ourselves in a good position, though the real test comes in Nelson, where the environment is always tough.
Our mentality is clear: apply the pressure, even away from home. With a full-strength squad, the players travelling up the night before, and support from our Championship side making the trip too, we’re locked in and ready for the challenge.
A massive thank you to everyone who came out to support us on Saturday. We’ll do everything we can to bring home a result and move on to the Southern series. Best wishes also to all our juniors, youth, and seniors for a fun and memorable prize-giving day.
A special shoutout as well to our General Manager, Olivia Smith, and our tireless committee, who make sure these big occasions are something our members can be proud of.
