Good afternoon as we head over to Garrick Memorial for the New World Men's Premiership fixture against Cashmere Technical's reserve squad. We expect this to be a very tough contest reflecting the two team's position in the league.

Monday night's fixture against Prebbleton-HSOB was a very good opportunity to blood a lot of youngsters in while putting in a performance to match the momentous occasion of Prebbleton entering the Chatham Cup for the first time in their history. Although the scoreline reflected a tighter occasion, our opponents for the night seemed like a combination of Prebbleton and the woodwork, with the amount of chances that had the posts ringing, it could have been a completely different story if we were more clinical in the evening. Hugo Feng, Blessing Kahiya and Sam Meecham were given their first starts in the first team, with Sam seeing the whole 90 out with a goal under his belt. Abdi was given his debut and he was a ball of flair while he was on. Aiden Kelly was able to score the second with a well-timed run into the box to meet the ball in the air so all-in-all, a good run out to get us ready for this afternoon's fixture.

Having worked under Adam Keizer as well as facing him over the last few years, there is a sense of familiarity from both ends and we expect this game to be a tightly contested fixture, with both sides trying to out-do one another in a tactical sense. But these are the sorts of games we look forward to as a team, and the boys have worked very hard this week in moving on from the English Cup result against Western and going into this with the right attitudes and behaviours. We welcome back Baxter Coughlan, Jacob O'Connell and Josh Dempster into the squad and with his performance against Prebbleton, Sam Meecham is deserving of another week to show his true potential in this environment.

It was great to see the many faces of the Hawks on the sidelines in our last two games and we are always appreciative of the support we receive. With this being a tightly-contested fixture, I'd love to see everyone there on the side cheering the lads on. Enjoy the afternoon.
