We're looking forward to crossing the Waimakariri River and heading to Kendall Park to face NW United in the first round of the Kate Sheppard Cup.

Last season we had two tight battles with our opponents, so were expecting another hard-fought contest on their turf.

The team has been playing some good football lately, but the challenge is sustaining that level for longer periods and capitalising when we're on top by creating clear, meaningful chances.

The team has trained well this week and is relishing the challenge of taking on South Island League opposition. We are focused on a positive result, while knowing it will come down to our performance on the day.

Finally, we'd like to acknowledge the huge amount of energy, time, passion, knowledge and love our recently departed co-coaches, Katie and Char, have poured into the female space at the club over the past few years. Thank you for everything you've contributed and achieved during your time as coaches.
