It’s all or nothing for the Hawks. The equation is simple after last week’s shock defeat – we must fight.
That result came down to many factors, one of them being the battle we’ve had to push through week in, week out this season. Even with a strong crowd behind us, we were at times our own worst enemy in the first half. But if there’s one thing we know, it’s that we thrive with our backs against the wall.
History shows that in second-leg football, you don’t look too deeply at the first game – you reset, you fight, and you go again. That’s exactly what we intend to do.
A huge thank you to our club, supporters, coaches, players, and their families. These lads have worked relentlessly week after week, setting high standards and living the values of Halswell United. Their commitment has been recognised with the Team Contribution of the Year Award – no surprise given how much they’ve given both on and off the field. Coaching, volunteering, supporting – they’ve done it all.
As for Team of the Year? We’ll show you what that means on Saturday.
